About the Network
How the Community Business Directory Network works, and the standards every listing and review has to follow.
Our mission & vision
A Directory for Every Community
Our goal is to build a dedicated, locally rooted business directory for every community across America — from major metro centers to small towns and suburban markets — and ultimately to empower local economies around the world to thrive.
We are starting by connecting local businesses across every community in the United States, with a vision to bring community-first directories to towns and cities around the world.
Real local addresses only
A business is only listed in a community directory when its physical or mailing address is actually in that community, never a neighboring town.
One listing, one community
The same business is not duplicated across directories, so what you see reflects who genuinely serves your area.
Verified businesses
The Verified checkmark means the business itself has claimed its listing and confirmed its contact details.
Honest reviews
Anyone can leave a review, and every review is checked before it appears. Fake, paid, and incentivized reviews are removed.
Independent local businesses
Directories feature independent local businesses. Listings with misleading information, spam, or illegal services are removed.
One network, many communities
Every directory runs on the same secure platform, with the same standards, so visitors get the same trusted experience in every community.
Listing standards
- Listings must be real businesses that serve the community they are listed in.
- Contact details, hours, and services must be accurate and kept up to date.
- Basic listings are always free. Paid Featured listings get more visibility, never fake reviews or rankings.
- Anyone can report a listing, and the Network team will review it.
Review rules
- Reviews should describe a real experience with the business.
- Every review is checked before it goes live. Spam, personal attacks, and conflicts of interest are rejected.
- Star ratings shown on listings come only from approved reviews.
